Skin improvement as a remedy for skin aging
As we age, our skin inevitably ages with us. Having said that, we can slow down skin aging through proper sun protection. And then there are various techniques for skin improvement.
The skin at work
Our skin has a fantastic ability to recover, but then the skin must first be put to work. This can be done in various ways: through light peelings, with the Dermaroller, a LPG treatment, the Dermapen or a Dermasol LED treatment.
Piece by piece, these techniques awaken skin cells and connective tissue cells. By gradually building up the intensity of the treatment, all skin layers are optimally triggered to produce new cells and collagen. In doing so, it is important to give the skin enough time (and rest). Because as often happens, the art lies in the right dosage.
Slow down by protecting
The rate at which the quality of our skin deteriorates depends on our genes, but also on external factors such as smoking or sun exposure. Protecting your skin properly is therefore a must. Not only to combat skin aging, but also to prevent skin cancer.
The important thing here is to keep sunscreen on hand every season. So not just on the beach in July and August, because the sun can also do damage in autumn and winter, high up in the mountains on ski vacation, for example). Also, always choose quality sunscreen with at least SPF 30 to 50.
Prevent rather than cure
From your 25th birthday, your skin cells renew at a slower rate. Actively working on how to prevent skin aging definitely makes sense from then on. An essential step here is to address the causes of skin blemishes such as pigment spots and impurities. Starting at the source is the message. We are happy to advise you on what you can do yourself to nip the acceleration of aging in the bud.
When recovery is needed…
Numerous body and external factors can damage your skin. Consider hormones, sun or wind, but nutrition can also be at the root of dry skin, acne, rosacea, eczema or sagging skin. Restoring your skin can be done with ingredients and treatments tailored to your skin type.
For example, does your skin show a lot of pigmentation, rosacea or fine lines due to (excessive) sun exposure? Then we can help repair (or minimize) the damage. We choose between microneedling (Dermapen 4), peelings, LPG endermology, LED treatment or skin booster treatments.
The right approach for your skin type
A skin treatment is only effective if it is tailored to your skin type. Our beauticians will be happy to advise you on this during a personal consultation. Make an appointment here.
