Liposuction treatment and liposculpture
Do you have localized fat deposits that bother you? Have you been following diets and going to the gym several times a week but can't get rid of excess fat? Then liposuction or liposculpture may be a solution for you. Through a number of small incisions, we are able to extract excess fat from your body. This can be done in many places such as at the level of your abdomen, buttocks, arms, legs, knees or hips. Each incision is no larger than 5 millimeters and is hidden on the abdomen in the pubic hair or navel. So scars are not noticeable at all after treatment. Liposculpture: what is it?
Liposculpture is a technique used to locally remove excess fat. It has nothing to do with losing weight. This means that if you are overweight you cannot use this method. Liposculpture improves the contours of the body, but it certainly does not offer perfection. Some areas are more treatable than others so be sure to be well informed about this by your plastic surgeon.
Liposuction: the treatment
The most common treatments are abdominal liposuction and flank liposuction. Liposuction is done under local anesthesia or general anesthesia. Incisions are made in inconspicuous places, such as in the skin folds. The area to be operated on is then injected with a fluid to facilitate suctioning and reduce blood loss. After the liquid takes effect, the doctor inserts suction tubes through the skin incisions. These suction tubes vibrate to loosen fat cells and thus the excess adipose tissue can be suctioned out more easily. The skin incisions are sutured.
The follow-up treatment for liposculpture
After liposculpture, it is necessary to temporarily wear tights or an elastic corset. This allows the skin to adhere properly to the undergarment. You wear this type of oppressive undergarment day and night for about six weeks. We put an absorbent dressing on the wounds because sometimes the wound may leak for a while. This will not cause any harm. You may experience painful bruising, swollen skin and bruising for several weeks after surgery. Pain can be easily controlled with paracetamol, and the stitches are usually removed after one or two weeks. The final result usually does not become apparent for several months.
