What is a Gliding Brow Lift?
The Gliding Brow Lift is a modern, minimally invasive technique to elevator the eyebrows and forehead without visible scarring. Unlike the classic forehead elevator, which involves removing skin, the gliding technique involves loosening the skin and gently "sliding" it up (gliding).
This allows the surgeon to elevator the forehead, eyebrows and sometimes the temples with an extremely natural result - without changing the facial expression.

The technique
- Anesthesia: local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia
- Duration: ± 1-2 hours

Methods:
- 1. The skin of the forehead is carefully detached from the underlying tissue.
- 2. The skin is pushed up into the desired position (gliding).
- 3. The new position is fixed internally with fine sutures.
- 3. A hemostatic net is then applied - a fine net of superficial sutures that holds the skin evenly in place and significantly reduces the risk of bruising and swelling.
This combination provides controlled, stable healing and a tighter, natural result with minimal swelling and little discomfort.
Recovery and results
- Recovery period: thanks to the hemostatic net, there is less swelling and faster recovery; the net is usually removed after 5-7 days
- Blue discoloration or slight pressure: possible during the first week
- Return to work: usually after 7-10 days
- Scars: hidden in the hairline and virtually invisible after healing
- Result: immediately noticeable, with a natural, open look and preservation of facial expression
The final result is fully visible after 2-3 months.
