A combination with liposuction may take longer. First, the plastic surgeon marks on your leg exactly how much skin needs to be removed. After administering anesthesia, the skin is cut away from the underlying layers of fat and muscle and removed. Fat is sucked out in the meantime. Finally, the wound is neatly sutured to ensure that scars are seen as little as possible. After a few hours you can sometimes go home, although people often stay overnight in the hospital.
