How does coolsculpting work?
CoolSculpting® uses cryolipolysis, a technique in which fat cells are permanently destroyed by controlled cooling. The surrounding tissue remains completely intact in the process.
A special applicator slightly vacuums the roll of fat and cools it to -11°C. You will feel a brief, intense cold that then quickly subsides. The session lasts on average 1 to 2 hours, during which you can read or work quietly.
Developed by the Allergan® laboratory, Coolsculpting® features a unique technology approved by the very strict FDA (Food and Drug Administration), the highest U.S. government agency responsible for authorizing drugs and medical technologies on U.S. soil.

The results of coolsculpting
After the treatment, the body automatically starts disposing of the treated fat cells via liver and kidneys - just like fat from food. This process is gradual and gives the skin time to adjust to the slimmer contours.
The first result of the treatment is visible after about 6 to 8 weeks. Optimal results are seen after two to four months. After one treatment our clients notice a size loss of 1 or 2 centimeters. The result is permanent, provided a stable weight is maintained.

Number of treatments
Usually two to three sessions are sufficient for optimal results. During the initial consultation, the plastic surgeon establishes a personalized treatment plan to achieve the best possible result tailored to your body and desires.
About two to four months after treatment, you will review the results with the plastic surgeon and decide if you would like to have additional areas treated.
